Went here with a small group when they were craving sushi (I'm not huge on it but saw the menu had a good number of non-sushi items that sounded yummy). The place itself was nice and easy to find, cool and so clean. The food was SO GOOD. We got gyoza to start and they were juicy and so fresh (they come with a spicy soy sauce and it was the perfect compliment to the dumplings).

A friend and I got teriyaki and first came the soup-- savory, rich miso. Then came a pickled cucumber dish-- sweet and refreshing. THEN came the classic side salad (honestly one of my favorite parts of getting teriyaki). THEN we got the teriyaki (I got beef) which was so freakin tender and flavorful!! It came with a side of veggies which were delicious as well. It was such a treat to get these courses with the meal! It made something I've always gotten feel really special and I could tell care was being put into the food and presentation!

Another friend got sushi and he said it was the best sushi he's ever had!! It looked so carefully put together and beautiful too.

All in all, wonderful experience! It's a family owned and operated small business and they create amazing food. I recommend it to anyone who will listen, will be going back as much as I can, and this will be my go-to spot to bring visiting friends. I love this place and I think anyone who goes here will too!

We came here on a Friday afternoon close to dinner time and there was no wait. The place is really small and it was fairly quiet. The restaurant has probably about three 7-10 tables and it can cater to small parties. It was clean and the staff was really nice and friendly. From what we know, it's a small mom and pop owned store.

My friend and I love sushi and we've gone to many places trying new things and different kind of fish and the experience that comes with it. We were a little confused when we asked for a sushi menu and we were told that they only served rolls. It was just puzzling to us to have a sushi restaurant and not serve sushi. We wanted to try the food, so we proceeded to order, but definitely did not have our craving satisfied. Another puzzling thing for us was that they serve sashimi! We ordered salmon sashimi and it came with a bowl of rice. It was a little funny to us that we couldn't have sushi, but we literally had everything we needed in front of us to make the sushi ourselves, so we did. A small layer of rice (yeah it wasn't sushi rice, but it was fine), a hint of wasabi, salmon on top. It was okay, the fish was good and served with plenty of lemon. The rolls that we got were okay. Nothing too special.

I think the reviews for this place was pretty off. Yes, decent rolls, but no sushi available. That does not qualify for an authentic sushi place. We walked out full, but super confused thinking we were going to have sushi and not just rolls. We did notice that other customers were drowing their fish AND rice with soy sauce, so I'm not so sure if this is the place you'd like to get "sushi" from.

The prices are pretty decent and if you're looking for rolls, this might be the place for you.

Whom ever is giving this place 5 star is out of their mind. Either they never had good quality sushi or they were just hungry. Ohh and service sucks. Took us 30 mins just to get water and to put our orders in.  Let me remind you there wasn't a lot of people and there were other groups that came after us that got their food first before we even put in our orders.

What sushi restaurant doesn't serve sushi? They don't offer 2 pieces sushi.  Waiter recommended their sashimi so I ordered it and let me tell you, yuck! Pieces are skinny and didn't taste fresh. Salmon were pale and was cut in all kinds of pieces. More like what you would find at a chinese buffet in the sushi section.

I tried giving this place another try and order salmon skin salad. Took 20 mins to get it and NO one was in the restaurant. Smh

Only thing I like was their salmon skin salad.

I enjoyed the Marinated Eggplant Miso very much, not too firm and not too mushy.  Salmon skin roll was also good.  And I really liked their house iced tea a lot.  They offer a lot of tapas/appetizers for really great prices.  It was easy to get out of control because some tapas like Tonkotsu fried breaded pork was more than appetizer size. As perfectly crisp as it was, I could not finish it.

This place is still in its early beginnings, so expect for menu to evolve a bit more.

Service was excellent and as long as you are upfront with your allergies, they will happily accommodate where they can.  However, peanut butter is an ingredient found in many of the entrees and sauces at Hirosa Sushi. If you have peanut allergies, it would be wise to have a discussion with staff about what would be safe to eat.

I just ate there and it was amazing! Great food and the food was so nicely presented! Service great! It's a Mom and Pop restaurant.
